Week 7 Branding Collateral Development

Week Seven
Logo Development

Going back to the idea of the simple clean square lines, I needed to create something that guys were comfortable wearing but girls could also wear. It had to be relatively genderless.

This is what I came up with next. It incorporates black and white, fill and unfill. There are no real exceptionally feminine or masculine elements. I felt that the fill and unfill approach of the symbol and the typography, especially in reverse on either side gave the overall logo a genderless nature. Ie. Both female s and males could wear it proudly without feeling as if it was lending itself more to the opposite sex.

Variety of applications of same logotype, depending on what it is being used on. The beauty is, as with any logo, it can be applied both ways or together. I feel it is a strong enough representation of the label either way.

Different variations for garment labelling, business cards, swing tags etc. Personally I like initial design the best and feedback from other people was the same. This design is the bottom left above and it combines the symbol and the text together.
